Hosting events in regional Victoria has just been made easier with bookings now open for a new state-of-the-art venue in Geelong.
The Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre is a world-class, sustainably designed venue that will offer amazing experiences for attendees at a business event in the regional city.
Bookings for the venue open today for future events from 2026 and beyond, with a 1,000-seat theatre and multiple meeting spaces, exhibition space and eateries. The venue will inject an economic boost to the region once open, with floorplans and video fly-throughs available to be viewed online.
Business Events Victoria (BEV) Executive Officer Adeline Keh said demand for Nyaal Banyul was likely to be high with such an impressive offering for event organisers. “We anticipate that many event organisers will be keen to lock in their dates for such an outstanding business event venue in Victoria’s largest regional city,” she says.
“Nyaal Banyul is a world-class venue just an hour’s drive from Melbourne or 25 minutes from Avalon Airport, serving as a gateway to Great Ocean Road and many sites of interest in west Victoria for business events attendees,” Ms Keh said.
Conferences and events held at Nyaal Banyul will also enable dispersal opportunities for off-site events, accommodation and activities to businesses in Geelong and the Bellarine.
Over the past 18 months, BEV has referred 75 business events leads to Geelong and the Bellarine, out of which fourteen events have been confirmed in 2024 and 2025, generating $631,000 in economic impact to the region.
