Discovering the Mornington Peninsula on Famil

Business Events Victoria welcomed a group of association event planners on a two-day familiarisation to the Mornington Peninsula from 30–31 July.

Delivered in partnership with Business Events Mornington Peninsula, the famil showcased the Mornington Peninsula as a destination where exceptional venues, accommodation and experiences come together.

The journey began with a pre-famil stay at Crowne Plaza Geelong before guests travelled from Queenscliff to Sorrento aboard Searoad Ferries, highlighting how easily regional Victoria destinations can be combined to create a diverse event program.

Over two days, guests explored conference and accommodation options including Hotel Sorrento, InterContinental Sorrento Mornington Peninsula, Jackalope, Peppers Moonah Links, RACV Cape Schanck Resort and Lancemore Lindenderry. They also experienced some of the region’s unique offerings, from a glass-blowing demonstration at Gordon Studio Blowers and wine tasting at Pt. Leo Estate, to wellness at Alba Thermal Springs & Spa and Peninsula Hot Springs.

Day two highlighted the region’s ability to deliver memorable incentive and team experiences, with a ride on the Arthurs Seat Eagle, an adventure through Enchanted Adventure, a truffle hunt and tasting with Red Hill Truffles, and farm experiences at Green Olive. Guests also discovered local food and beverage experiences at The Epicurean, Red Gum BBQ and JimmyRum before finishing the program at Mornington Racecourse.

Throughout the famil, what stood out was the genuine passion of the people behind each experience. From accommodation and conferencing to food, wellness, adventure and local producers, the region offers planners the opportunity to build event programs that are both productive and memorable.

Thank you to all our Mornington Peninsula partners for their collaboration, generosity and enthusiasm, and to our guests for joining us. We hope they left inspired by the possibilities waiting across the Mornington Peninsula.
