Centred around Australia’s longest river, the Murray region spans the Victoria and New South Wales border, offering a distinctive blend of natural beauty, heritage and warm regional hospitality. From semi alpine landscapes in the east to ancient landscapes and outback character in the west, the region is home to vibrant riverside towns, First Nations culture, renowned local produce and unique venues that provide an inspiring setting for conferences, leadership retreats and incentive programs.
Murray Regional Tourism (MRT) is the peak cross-border tourism organisation for the Murray region, working across Victoria and New South Wales to strengthen the visitor economy and position the region as a leading destination for business events and leisure travel. Established in 2010, MRT works closely with Visit Victoria, Destination Riverina Murray, 13 local government areas and industry partners to deliver regional marketing, product development, leadership and advocacy, and industry development initiatives. Our team can assist event planners with destination information, venue and experience recommendations, introductions to local suppliers, and connections that help create memorable business events across the Murray region.
Just 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne and serviced by regional airports in Albury and Mildura, The Murray is an easy, accessible region for conferences, incentive groups and leadership retreats.
