On 2 April 2025, BEV hosted the second edition of its Regional Victoria Dinner Soirée at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, held in collaboration with Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism. This exclusive invitation-only event brought together a select group of event planners, with some already engaging with the region, others curious to discover its untapped potential for future business opportunities.
Designed to foster new connections and highlight the region’s year-round appeal, the evening showcased the Great Ocean Road as a desirable destination.
Guests were welcomed with networking drinks and sweeping views of Melbourne from Level 35, followed by a curated three-course dining experience. Throughout the evening, representatives from Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism, RACV Torquay Resort, The Sands Torquay, Great Ocean Road Resort, Mantra Lorne and Lady Bay Resort shared valuable insights into what sets the region apart as a business events destination.
A standout moment of the night came from Liz Price, General Manager of Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism, who led a captivating sensory experience that transported guests to the iconic coastline. With eye masks in place, guests were immersed in the ambient sounds of waves, seagulls, and a gentle ocean breeze-creating a vivid, multisensory connection to the region’s natural beauty and atmosphere.
The evening was a resounding success, leaving attendees inspired and more connected to the potential of hosting events in regional Victoria.
BEV extends it thanks to all who attended and contributed to an unforgettable night. The conversation continues as we welcome more business events to regional Victoria.
