Business Events Victoria (BEV) exhibited at the Victoria Tourism Industry Council’s 2025 Choose Tourism Careers Expo. Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Tuesday 2 September, the one-day Expo showcased the dynamic and diverse career pathways within the tourism and events industry, bringing together over 1,000 aspiring tourism professionals to explore the vibrant and diverse opportunities our industry offers.
Witnessing the energy and curiosity of these future leaders as they engaged with a wide range of industry stakeholders was truly inspiring. From immersive experiences to insightful conversations, the Expo highlighted the boundless opportunities within the tourism and events industry – an industry that contributes significantly to the state of Victoria.
High school students preparing to graduate, recent university graduates, and aspiring tourism professionals had the opportunity to gain first-hand insights into careers in tourism and events, from the skills required to the opportunities available across the state. Our booth attracted plenty of buzz and interest, with attendees curious about BEV, eager to understand what we do, and keen to explore pathways into a career in business events.
